How the Balkans Do It (3): Energy Intensity, Adequacy Metrics, and the Structural Paradox
A comparison of the power systems in the Balkans unequivocally confirms that successful energy policy does not tolerate the tyranny of uniformity. Serbia must remain faithful to its own economic structure. As demonstrated in previous analyses, successful and secure systems do not operate on erratic market trends and passive administrative governance. Our command chain must be centralized, and the development of the energy mix strictly regulated through clear state quotas, technological priorities, and mandatory preliminary state verification for every new project. Only through an energy policy that is deeply sovereign and loyal to its own engineering physics can Serbia guarantee long-term national security and sustainable economic development.
